It is with great sadness that I write this ‘farewell’ to Richard. In fact, due to the relatively short period of his illness, we are all still coming to terms with his passing.

He was with us barely twelve months and in a part-time capacity, but in that time Richard won all our hearts with his infectious enthusiasm, wonderful hospitality and his profound commitment to our work in parish renewal.

His responsibility was to visit and offer assistance to parish clergy and parish pastoral councils, specifically helping them develop parish pastoral plans. The great passion and expertise he brought was highly appreciated by the parishes with which he worked.

Richard had a genuine interest in all aspects of our work in parish renewal.  He is greatly missed as a member of our team and for the lovely person he was to all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
